KRG Declares Sunday a Public Holiday for Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has officially announced that Sunday, September 15, 2024, will be a public holiday across the Kurdistan Region in observance of the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
According to the official calendar, government offices and institutions will be closed for the holiday. Work will resume as normal on Monday, September 16, 2024.
The occasion of the Prophet’s birthday is traditionally marked by public celebrations, religious gatherings, and community events throughout the region.
