Masoud Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), has extended his congratulations to the Kurdish people, KDP supporters, and all political parties following the successful conclusion of the general elections for the Kurdistan Parliament.

In an official statement, Barzani expressed his gratitude for the peaceful and transparent election process, remarking, “Thank God, the sixth session of the Kurdistan Parliament elections ended successfully, and the Kurdish people were able to vote in a free atmosphere.”

Barzani highlighted the collective nature of the victory, stating, “The victory of this process is the victory of the Kurdish people, including all political communities and parties.” He also acknowledged the efforts of KDP members, supporters, and other political parties for their roles in the process.

Additionally, Barzani thanked the election commissions and security forces, noting their contributions to ensuring a smooth electoral process. “I would like to thank the Iraqi and Kurdistan Election Commissions and all relevant parties and security forces for their contribution to the successful conduct of the elections in the Kurdistan Region,” he stated.

Looking ahead, Barzani expressed his hopes that the election results would lead to a new phase of progress and prosperity for the Kurdish people. “I hope that the elections and their results will bring new hope and a new stage that will be in the interest of all Kurdish people,” he added.
