President Masoud Barzani welcomed Abdullah Matar Al Mazrouei, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Iraq, during a meeting held today in the Salahaddin resort.

Ambassador Al Mazrouei expressed his pleasure at visiting the Kurdistan Region and meeting with President Barzani. He conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and commended the people, government, and institutions of the Kurdistan Region for their efforts in fostering stability and promoting development and reconstruction.

President Barzani warmly received the ambassador, wishing him success in his diplomatic mission. He praised the UAE leadership's wisdom and vision, highlighting their commitment to progress and prosperity as a model to emulate. President Barzani also emphasized the strong friendship and close ties between the Kurdistani and Emirati peoples, expressing hope for further strengthening and expansion of bilateral relations.

The meeting underscored the importance of fostering cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and the UAE in areas of mutual interest, aiming to enhance ties across various sectors.
