Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with US Charge d'Affaires to Iraq, David Berger in Duhok earlier yesterday.

They discussed strengthening bilateral relations and developments in Iraq. They emphasized the need to resolve Erbil-Baghdad disputes based on the Constitution.

During the meeting, both sides welcomed efforts that address disputes in ways that respect Iraq’s federal system and the constitutional rights and financial entitlements of the Kurdistan Region.

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani’s recent visit to Baghdad and discussions with Prime Minister Sudani and other Iraqi political leaders were also highlighted.

They also stressed the importance of holding free, fair and credible parliamentary elections this year.
