Iraqi Federal Supreme Court Approves Banking of KRG Employee Salaries through "My Account" Project
The Iraqi Federal Supreme Court has given its approval to the process of banking the salaries of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) employees through the "My Account" project.
In a letter sent to Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on July 1, Federal Court President Jassim Mohammed Abboud confirmed that the decision applies to all state-owned banks and those approved by the Central Bank of Iraq.
The Federal Court's letter included an attached list of 66 banks operating in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region that are participating in the "My Account" project. This project aims to streamline the payment process for KRG employees, ensuring efficient and secure salary disbursements.
The approval marks a significant step in improving financial management and transparency within the KRG, providing employees with easier access to their salaries and enhancing the overall banking infrastructure in the region.
