Erbil, Kurdistan Region – Senior Kurdish leader and president of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, extended heartfelt congratulations to the Kakaiy community on the occasion of the Qultas festival. The celebration marks an important cultural and religious event for the Kakaiys, followers of Yarsanism, a faith distinct within the Kurdish cultural tapestry.

In his statement, Barzani expressed his admiration and support for the Kakaiy people, acknowledging their resilience and integral role in Kurdish society. “On the occasion of the return of the Kakaiy festival of Qultas, I warmly congratulate the brothers and sisters of the Kakaiy of Kurdistan,” he remarked.
