Masrour Barzani: The curfew is for our safety
ERBIL - The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrur Barzani, has announced that a six-day travel ban has been imposed throughout the Kurdistan Region, in order to protect the safety of all people.

The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrur Barzani, posted a message on his Twitter account on Monday, June 1, regarding the decision to ban traffic, saying that the commitment of citizens to the ban is important.

Masrur Barzani said in a statement: “As of now a six-day curfew is in place across the whole of the Kurdistan Region. This is for our safety due to a sharp rise in new cases of coronavirus. It is crucial that we abide by this curfew and follow public health guidelines at all times.”

The Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Region announced a curfew on Monday, June 1, at 18:00 until Saturday, June 6.
