I offer my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of today's terrorist attack in Khurmatu, which involved the detonation of a bomb placed in a vehicle belonging to a joint brigade of the Iraqi Army and Peshmerga. It resulted in the loss of three brave officers. I pray that Almighty God grants their souls His mercy and provides solace and comfort to all affected. We express our sympathy and hope for a swift recovery for those injured.

This heinous act of terrorism highlights the persistent danger that such violence presents to the peace and stability of Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the surrounding areas, especially impacting the residences of citizens in the Article 140 areas. Therefore, we emphasize the necessity of strengthening and improving both ongoing cooperation and coordination between the Peshmerga, the Iraqi Army, and Coalition forces to effectively address and eradicate such terrorist activities.
