The ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) places significant importance on traffic safety, emergency response, and civil defense across the region. As part of this effort, the government has established specialized aviation teams to respond to emergencies and alerts throughout Kurdistan.

These aviation teams, stationed in the four provinces of Erbil, Duhok, Sulaimani, and Halabja, support police, traffic authorities, and civil defense forces in carrying out their duties. They are also utilized during accidents and abnormal situations that require immediate intervention.

The aviation department is fully equipped to serve citizens using available helicopters, while adhering to weather regulations and flight conditions in any part of the Kurdistan Region.

At the same time, the KRG continues to develop these teams by providing the latest technologies and modern equipment. This ongoing effort aims to enhance their capacity for public service and emergency response.
