The Kurdish Internal Security Forces, known as Asayish and affiliated with the Democratic Union Party (PYD), reported that recent Turkish airstrikes in Syrian Kurdistan have led to the deaths of 18 individuals and injuries to more than 65 others. Among the casualties were both military personnel and civilians, with 4 soldiers killed and 14 others wounded.

According to Asayish, the Turkish strikes targeted military, oil, and service centers, causing significant damage to the region's infrastructure and essential services. The attacks reportedly had a severe impact on local vitality, further complicating the humanitarian and economic situation in the region.

On the same day, the Turkish military confirmed the destruction of 157 sites linked to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and the People's Defense Units (YPG) in Syrian Kurdistan. These strikes followed an attack in Ankara earlier in the week that resulted in 5 deaths and 22 injuries, an incident for which the Turkish government holds the PKK responsible.

In response, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed continued military actions against Kurdish fighters. He claimed that the attackers had crossed into Turkey from neighboring Syria, reiterating his government's firm stance on combating what it views as a terrorist threat.

The airstrikes have not only intensified the conflict between Turkey and Kurdish forces but have also raised concerns over the stability and security of the region. International observers fear that the escalating violence may lead to further casualties and a humanitarian crisis in the affected areas.
