Kurdistan and Saudi Arabia Sign MoU to Boost Medical Education and Healthcare Services
In a landmark move aimed at improving medical education and healthcare services, the Kurdistan Higher Council of Medical Specialties (KHCMS) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. The agreement, signed by KHCMS President Ariana Khalis Jawad and Saudi Secretary-General Aws al-Shamsan, seeks to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between the two institutions.
The MoU focuses on enhancing medical education, vocational training, and creating more opportunities for the professional development of healthcare workers in both the Kurdistan Region and Saudi Arabia.
“This memorandum is part of our shared commitment to improving the quality of health services,” read a statement from the KHCMS. “It will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise, supporting continuing education and ultimately raising healthcare standards across the region.”
The agreement was signed following an official invitation extended to KHCMS President Jawad by the Saudi Board for Health Specialties during the Global Health Exhibition. This growing partnership between the two health councils is expected to make significant contributions to the development of healthcare systems in both the Kurdistan Region and Saudi Arabia.
