President Masoud Barzani has commended the Iraqi Parliament's recent decision to annul resolutions issued by the dissolved Ba'ath Leadership Council, calling it a pivotal step toward justice and reconciliation.

In a statement released by Barzani Headquarters on Tuesday, President Barzani described the decision as a significant milestone in addressing historical injustices stemming from the era of the former Iraqi regime. "This move, long overdue since the fall of the Ba'athist regime, is a crucial act in restoring justice to those wronged under its rule," he noted.

President Barzani expressed gratitude to the Presidency of the Iraqi Parliament, the Kurdish factions, and all those who contributed to the passage of the bill. He emphasized that the decision marks a rightful return of privileges to individuals affected by the oppressive policies of the Ba'athist regime.

The President expressed optimism that this annulment would pave the way for rectifying past mistakes and injustices that have left a lasting impact on Iraqi society.

Taking to the social media platform X, President Barzani shared his thoughts on the decision, stating: "What the Iraqi Parliament approved today confirms that: As long as justice prevails, it will prosper; however, if injustice prevails, it will destroy."
