President Nechirvan Barzani Bids Farewell to Ambassador of India

President Nechirvan Barzani received Prashant Pise, India’s departing Ambassador to Iraq, during a farewell visit to Kurdistan Region as he concludes his term in office.

The President conveyed the Kurdistan Region's gratitude to Ambassador Pise for his contributions to enhancing relations with both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, wishing him success in his future mission.

Ambassador Pise thanked President Nechirvan Barzani and the relevant parties for their support during his tenure. The Ambassador reiterated India's commitment to fostering cooperation and emphasized the significance of strengthening relations across various sectors within Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting, which also included the Consul General of India in the Kurdistan Region, focused on the current situation in both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the delicate relations between Erbil and Baghdad, and the crucial upcoming Kurdistan parliamentary elections.
