On Tuesday, 3 September 2024, Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), bade farewell to Prashant Pise, the departing Ambassador of India to Iraq. The meeting was also attended by Madan Gopal, the Consul General of India in the Kurdistan Region.

Prime Minister Barzani commended Ambassador Pise for his efforts in enhancing bilateral relations between India and the Kurdistan Region and wished him success in his future endeavours.

Ambassador Pise expressed gratitude to the KRG for coordination with the embassy and emphasised the importance of further enhanced cooperation between India and the Kurdistan Region.
