Major Road Construction Project Announced in Duhok Province
The Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism has unveiled ambitious plans to construct new 60-meter and 30-meter roads in Duhok province, as part of the ninth Cabinet’s ongoing efforts to enhance services and infrastructure development in the region.
The comprehensive road construction project, set to take place within the Tanahi council border, is designed to boost urban development and facilitate reconstruction in the area. The government has earmarked a substantial budget of 20 billion dinars for this initiative, underscoring its commitment to improving the province's infrastructure.
The project will be managed by the Tanahi council presidency in conjunction with the General Directorate of Duhok municipality. Key elements of the plan include the construction of a major 60-meter road, as well as several 30-meter roads within the Tanahi compound.
These new roads are expected to significantly ease traffic congestion in the region, providing much-needed relief for daily commuters. Beyond practical benefits, the project aims to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of Duhok and its surrounding areas, contributing to a more attractive and well-organized urban landscape.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism emphasizes that this development is a crucial step towards modernizing Duhok’s infrastructure and supporting its growth. As the construction gets underway, the local community eagerly anticipates the positive impact these improvements will bring.
