KDP Condemns Terrorist Attack on Party Official in Garmian
The Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) has strongly denounced a recent terrorist attack targeting Akram Salih, head of the 22nd branch of the Party in Garmian. The incident, which resulted in the destruction of Salih's vehicle, fortunately caused no casualties.
In an official statement, the KDP emphasized the gravity of the attack, calling it an inhuman act of terrorism. The party has urged regional institutions to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and to swiftly apprehend those responsible.
"We strongly condemn the terrorist act that targeted our party comrades," the statement read, "and we call on the institutions of the region to seriously investigate this inhuman and terrorist act and reveal the perpetrators to our party, public opinion and the Kurdish people."
Highlighting the potential destabilizing effects of such violence, the KDP underscored its commitment to maintaining the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region. The statement emphasized that targeting party members and officials by any group is unacceptable and vowed to prevent any disruption to the region's peace.
"This act of destruction threatens the stability and security of the Kurdistan Region," the statement continued, "and targeting our cadres by any party or group is unacceptable. We will not allow the destroyers to achieve their goals."
The KDP concluded by urging regional authorities to fulfill their duty in swiftly identifying and bringing the perpetrators of the attack to justice, asserting that justice must prevail for the sake of stability and social security in the Kurdistan Region.
