In a display of solidarity and inclusivity, prominent leaders of the Kurdistan Region have extended warm greetings to Christians celebrating Easter and Akitu, a traditional Assyrian New Year festival.

Masoud Barzani, former President of the Kurdistan Region, conveyed his heartfelt congratulations and blessings to Christian communities in Kurdistan, Iraq, and across the globe on the joyous occasion of Easter. He also extended his wishes to the Chaldean-Assyrian-Syriac people, emphasizing the importance of promoting coexistence, brotherhood, and harmony among all national and religious groups in the region. Barzani stressed the unwavering support for the rights and demands of all components, urging against any compromise on the culture of coexistence.

Meanwhile, Nechirvan Barzani, the current President of the Kurdistan Region, echoed these sentiments, expressing his best wishes for a Happy Easter to Christians worldwide.
