President Nechirvan Barzani receives UK Ambassador to Iraq
President Nechirvan Barzani had a meeting with the British Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Stephen Hitchen in Erbil this evening. During their discussion, they shared perspectives on the current situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the relations between Erbil and Baghdad, the upcoming Kurdistan parliamentary elections, the latest regional developments, and the repercussions of the Gaza conflict.
Both parties emphasized the significance of upholding peace and stability in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, and stressed the need for Iraq to abstain from any engagement in the regional conflict.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed enhancing Britain’s relations with both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
