President Nechirvan Barzani held a meeting with Mr. Amos J. Hochstein, the Senior Advisor to US President for Energy and Investment, during the Munich Security Conference in Germany. The focus of the meeting was on strengthening the relationship between the United States and Iraq, particularly in the areas of economy, energy cooperation, and investment. They also discussed the efforts to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region and the ongoing talks in this regard between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government of Iraq.

Furthermore, he reiterated the continued support and assistance of the United States to both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
