President Nechirvan Barzani held a meeting with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius in Munich on Saturday afternoon. He appreciated Germany’s key role in the war against ISIS and conveyed his gratitude for Germany’s support to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. The President also commended Germany for its assistance in the ongoing unification process of the Peshmerga forces.

In return, the German Defense Minister reiterated his appreciation for the Peshmerga’s vital role in combating ISIS and the continued support of his country to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in the fight against terrorism and security threats.
