Directorate of Municipalities in Soran Implements 148 Service Projects Worth Over 25 Billion Dinars

Khosro Ismail, the Director General of Municipalities in the Soran Administration of the Kurdistan Region, announced today the successful execution of 148 diverse service projects throughout the past year. These projects, with a total cost exceeding 25 billion Iraqi Dinars, have been instrumental in enhancing various aspects of public services in the region.

Ismail elaborated on the accomplishments, stating, "According to the statistics for the year 2023, a total of 148 service projects have been successfully implemented across all municipalities within the Soran Administration. These projects were funded with a total of 25,017,605,000 Iraqi Dinars from the budgets of the Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism, the Soran Administration, and the General Directorate of Municipalities in Soran."

He further highlighted that these statistics represent only a portion of the completed projects that are now serving the citizens. Additionally, ongoing service projects in various fields are currently under implementation.

Moreover, Ismail noted the efficient handling of citizen-related matters, stating, "During the past year, 12,252 letters were sent to the General Directorate of Municipalities in Soran, all of which were related to citizens' requests and the processing of their transactions. Responses to some of these letters were provided through email. Furthermore, 1,490 letters were sent to various areas in the Kurdistan Region to facilitate the transactions of Soran residents."

The Director General expressed satisfaction with the progress made in enhancing municipal services and emphasized the commitment to continued efforts in the implementation of additional projects to further improve the quality of life for the residents of Soran.
