On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), hosted a delegation from the Japanese government at the KRG headquarters. The delegation consisted of Kansuke Nagaoka, Assistant Minister and Director General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau at the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Futoshi Matsumoto, the Ambassador of Japan to Iraq.

Prime Minister Barzani expressed his sincere pleasure at the visit of the Japanese delegation to the Kurdistan Region and conveyed his admiration for Japan's accomplishments and expertise across various sectors.
