Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani meets with Federal Government Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning Mohammed Ali Tamim
On Monday, Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning of the Federal Government, Mohammed Ali Tamim, to discuss the general situation in Iraq and the importance of approving the federal budget law in the House of Representatives as soon as possible.
According to a statement, issued in Kurdish language, by KRG website, the meeting emphasized the importance of resolving issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government on the basis of the constitution and providing the constitutional rights and entitlements of the Kurdish people.
Both sides stressed the need to implement all agreements listed on the federal government's agenda, which will contribute to the stability of the country and the region.
The federal budget law has been a subject of controversy and disagreement between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region in recent years, and delays in its approval have affected the functioning of public services and infrastructure projects in the region.
