Statement by President Masoud Barzani
In pursuit of resolving the current problems and providing a suitable environment for the political process in Iraq, this political initiative is hereby put forward:
I call upon Nechirvan Barzani and Mohamed al-Halbousi to visit Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr and consult on how to move forward with the political process and remove the obstacles facing the current situation.
I hope that this initiative will have positive results and be in the interest of Iraq and all of its components.
