President Nechirvan Barzani congratulates the Presidency of the Council of Representatives
I offer my congratulations to Mr. Mohamed al- Halbousi on his election as the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and also congratulate Mr. Hakim al-Zamli and Mr. Shakhawan Abdulla on their elections as the First and Second Deputy Speakers. I wish them success.
I hope that the election of the Presidency of the Council of Representatives of Iraq will be the start of a fair political process in the country which brings all forces, parties and communities together and which leads Iraq towards a new period of peace, political stability and collective work in pursuit of a better future for all citizens.
