President Barzani receives Austrian Ambassador to Jordan and Iraq
President Massoud Barzani received the Austrian Ambassador to Jordan and Iraq and discussed a number of issues.
On Wednesday, in Salahuddin, President Barzani received the Austrian Ambassador to Jordan and Iraq, Oskar Wüstinger, Emphasizing the historical ties between the people of Kurdistan and Austria.
The meeting also focused on the development of friendly relations between the two countries and the expansion of trade and investment relations.
The Austrian Ambassador praised the role of the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces in the fight against Daesh terrorists, as well as the struggle and sacrifice of the Kurdistan people for freedom.
The meeting also focused on the challenges facing the political process and the upcoming Iraqi elections in October, and both hoped that the Iraqi parliamentary elections would be a reason to improve the general situation in Iraq and to bring about a change in the will of the people.
The situation in Sinjar and the obstacles facing the normalization of Sinjar's situation were another focus of the session.
