Dr. Jutiar Adil, KRG Spokesman issued a ststement on Monday expressing KRG's concern and dissatisfaction with the logging and damage to the nature of the Kurdistan Region.

In the statement Dr. Jutiar Adil, a spokesman for the Kurdistan Regional Government, said "the KRG has expressed its concern and dissatisfaction with the deforestation and damage to the nature of the Kurdistan Region, and has officially warned the Turkish government to end deforestation in the border areas, which is unacceptable."

"The KRG reiterates that the presence of PKK militants in the Kurdistan Region, and especially in the border areas, has led to the influx of Turkish forces and the escalation of clashes between the two sides, so we urge them to respect the sovereignty of Iraqi territory and the Kurdistan Region." He added.
