In Lebanon, armed political group Hezbollah has stepped up security in areas under its control.

The move comes after car bombings in the last two months that killed dozens of people and wounded several hundred.

Although the bombings were condemned by opposition groups, they say Hezbollah invited attacks because of its involvement in the Syrian conflict.
