Kurdistan Region Minister Bans Reusable Shaving Razors in Barbershops to Prevent Spread of Diseases
In a decisive move to enhance public health and hygiene standards, the Kurdistan Region's Minister of Health, Dr. Saman Barzanji, has issued a ban on the use of reusable shaving razors in all barbershops across the region. This directive, aimed at preventing the spread of contagious diseases, mandates the exclusive use of disposable razors.
The directive has been communicated to health departments across the provinces and independent administrations within the Kurdistan Region. Supervision teams have been instructed to ensure strict compliance with the new regulation, which specifies that disposable razors must be used only once.
Additionally, Dr. Barzanji has made the use of disposable razors a prerequisite for the renewal of health licenses for barbershops. This measure is part of a broader effort to enforce higher hygiene standards within the community and to protect public health.
The implementation of this regulation is expected to significantly reduce the risk of disease transmission in barbershops, contributing to a safer and healthier environment for all residents of the Kurdistan Region.
