Erbil: Kurdish National Conference's preliminary meeting held
21 representatives of various political parties and non-governmental organizations from northern Kurdistan have arrived in Erbil which yesterday hosted the preliminary meeting of the Kurdish National Conference.


The conference was proposed by Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and called for by Federate Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) President Massoud Barzani.


The delegation from northern Kurdistan includes DTK (Democratic Society Congress) co-chair Ahmet Türk, BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş, BDP deputy Mülkiye Birtane, IHD (Human Rights Association) Amed Branch Chair Raci Bilici and representatives of KADEP, DÖKH, MEYA-DER, KESK, ÖSP and DDKD.


The preliminary meeting in Hewler will also be attended by the representatives of many NGOs from four parts of Kurdistan, including those of PYD (Democratic Union Party) and ENSK (Kurdish National Council) from Rojava, PJAK (Party for a Free Life in Kurdistan), Komalay Zehmetkeşani Kurdistan, KDP-Iran, Komaley Şoreşgeran, PAK and Komaleyi Iran from Rojhılat.


Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Kurdistan Democratic Party and other parties in Kurdistan region also partake in the conference.
