President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani discussed with the leader of the Supreme Islamic Council, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, on Wednesday the last developments in the political process, and ways to solve the problems that hinder the political arena in Iraq.

KRGs official website reported a meeting between President Barzani and the leader within the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Adel Abdul Mahdi, in which they discussed the relations between Baghdad and Erbil.

“President Barzani received Abdul Mahdi on Wednesday in Salahadin where they discussed the latest political updates in Iraq and Baghdad in addition to the relations between Baghdad and Erbil.” the KRG’s statement read.

“The two sides assured the adherence to the continuous dialogue where settling the disputes between Baghdad and Erbil is the beginning of settling the internal disputes in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
