Nouri Maliki, the Prime Minister of Iraq arrived today in a military plane in Erbil International Airport, welcomed by Kurdistan President Masoud Barzani, Kosrat Rasul, Vice President of Kurdistan Region and Nechirvan Barzani, Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region.

According to his schedule, Maliki tends to hold a meeting of the Council of Ministers in Kurdistan.

A close meeting is scheduled between President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani and Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri Maliki to discuss outstanding problems between the two regions.

A delegation of Iraqi Ministers arrived in Erbil, capital of Kurdistan hours before Iraqi Prime Minister and welcomed by Kurdish officials in the region.

Maliki’s visit to Kurdistan is a regular meeting with Council of Ministers as it occurred in other regions of Iraq as well.
