The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, on Saturday that the Minister , Hoshyar Zebari opened the first system for issuing passports in Iraq’s consulate in the United Arab of Emirates.

“Zebari opened last Thursday, the first system of issuing and printing passports at the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Dubai,” Foreign Affairs announced in a statement received by “Shafaq News”.

“Zebari praised in his speech the efforts made by Ambassador, IsmatAkeed, the Consul General of the Republic of Iraq in Dubai and staff of the embassy , he also thanked the delegation of the Ministry of Interior (General Directorate for Passports), for their efforts in completing this project, which serves the Iraqi citizens in the United Arab Emirates,” The statement added .

“The Minister of Foreign Affairs supervised the stages series of the issuance of the first Iraqi passport category (A) starting from the stage of receiving the official papers and checking to the final stage which is printing the passport and hand it over to the citizen, the process of issuing and printing the passport in all levels takes (48) hours only”.
