Dr. Barham Salih, Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and Nechirvan Barzani, Deputy Chairman of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, met today in the city of Erbil, with Ali Baber Emir of the Islamic Group in Kurdistan.

At the meeting, they discussed developments in the political situation in Kurdistan Region and the need to continue meetings between leaders of Kurdish political parties in order to resolve all pending issues between them.

At an earlier time, Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani met with leaders of Kurdish opposition parties and then followed by another meeting with the two political bureaus of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, where Dr. Salih and Nechirvan Barzani were assigned to continue talks with the opposition parties.

Following the meeting, at a news conference, Ali Baber and Dr. Barham Salih and Barzani, shed light on the content of the meeting.
