Salahaddin, Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRP.org) – President Masoud Barzani met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Gryshchenko Kostyantyn in his office in Salahaddin for discussions on developing ties and cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and Ukraine.

President Barzani and Foreign Minister Kostyantyn both emphasized the importance of developing bilateral relations in several areas, including cooperation on agriculture, education, infrastructure building and energy.



Foreign Minister Kostyantyn said the Kurdistan Region with its security and stability offers a unique opportunity for Ukrainian companies to contribute to the development of the Region, and to this end his government is considering to establish a diplomatic presence in Erbil.
