Prime Minister of the Iraqi Kurdistan region (KRG) Nechirvan Barzani arrived in Tehran at the head of high-ranking trade delegation on Saturday evening.

PM Nechirvan Barzani arrived in the Iranian capital on Saturday evening and was received by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and the representative of the of Kurdistan region in Tehran.



KRG Natural Resources Minister Ashti Hawrami, KRG Board of Investment Chairman Herish Muharam, and KRG Department of Foreign Relations Director Falah Mustafa are accompanying PM Barzani on the trip.



Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) political bureau chief Fazil Mirani and other senior KDP members are also on PM Barzani’s delegation.



During his two-day visit to Tehran, PM Barzani is scheduled to meet with Iranian officials to discuss regional developments, bilateral ties, and ways to expand economic cooperation.
