We congratulate Iraq’s Council of Representatives on its historic decision to nominate the first members of the Iraqi Commission for Human Rights. We hope that this Commission will safeguard the rights guaranteed to all Iraqis by the Iraqi constitution. We wish the new commissioners success as they begin their work.
