The Department of Water Resources in Kirkuk, Thursday,declared that the proportion of water storage in the Dukan Dam rose to 489 cubic meters during the current year, confirming that the rate of flow of water from the dam towards the province reached 130 cubic meters per second.


The director of the department (Shihab Hakeem Nadir) said that "the levels of water Dukan dam rose in the current year to about 489 cubic meters compared to last year, which amounted to 475-meter," noting that "This contributes to increasing the proportion of the flow of water it receives irrigation project of Kirkuk, about 130 meters cubic per second compared to 70 cubic meters per second in the last year.
