The president of Iraqi Republic Jalal Talabani sent President Masoud Barzani a letter, thanking him for the wishes of his quick recovery. His letter reads:

With a deep sense of appreciation and most gladness I received your telephone call for being reassured of the medical treatment I received in Germany. Whilst I thank you from my heart, I reiterate my promise on the continuation of the doctrine that we have together taken on joint struggle and the years of construction for the liberty, prosperity and happiness of our people.

I pray to God for you being always in good health condition and wish you always success.
