On International Women’s Day, the President of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani has congratulated women in general and especially women in Kurdistan Region.

President Barzani , stressed that Kurdish Leadership is strong defender of women’s rights and will confront violence against women and pave the way to secure women’s participation in political process , ruling and society development .

Barzani said that the woman in all Kurdish people revolutions was a strong supporter of Peshmerga forces and sometimes carried weapon and defended her people.
