The Iranian Consulate in Erbil , has celebrated on Sunday , the 33rd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution with the presence of Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani , Speaker of Kurdistan Parliament Kamal Kirkuki , his Deputy Dr. Arsalan Baez , number of lawmakers and KRG ministers , the Iranian Consul General in Erbil and representatives of Kurdistan political parties.

the Iranian Consul General in his speech , highlighted achievements of the Islamic Revolution in Iran since 1979.

Dr. Kawa Mahmoud, Minister of Culture in the Kurdistan Regional Government in a speech pointed to the Iranian Revolution, describing it as a historic turning point in the life of the Iranian people.

Mahmoud stressed the need to strengthen relations between the Federal Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
