committee tasked with studying the Iraqi Judiciary Council's demands for the withdrawal of immunity from three members of the House of Representatives will report its investigation to the House next week.

Amir Kanani from the six-member committee said the committee will meet to discuss the council's demands against Haidar al-Mullah and Salim al-Jubouri of Iraqiya List as well as independent representative Sabah al-Sa'idy.
According to media reports Jubouri has been accused of supporting terrorism. He was arrested after security forces found explosives in one of the offices of the Iraqi Islamic Party, which he belongs to, following an explosion in front of the House.

Mullah is charged with contempt of court, while Sa'idy is a charged with financial and administrative corruption from when he was head of the parliament's Commission on Integrity.
"Withdrawing immunity is a decisive issue and subject to voting," said Kanani. "If the majority vote to withdraw the immunity it will be withdrawn, but not otherwise."
