Peaceful Coexistence Festival kicked off in the City of Akri , under the sponsorship of Safin Dezae the KRG Minister of Education , with the presence of Mar Toma the Bishop of Ninawa and Duhok, the Akri District Commissioner Jawhar Aziz , the director general of Duhok Province education, the director of Akri education and representatives of government institutions and political parties in the region.

In his speech, the KRG Education Minister congratulated Christians in Kurdistan Region , Iraq and the whole world on the occasion of Christ’s birth and the new year, pointing out that Kurdistan Region will remain a place of Peaceful Coexistence and tolerance among all iraqi people constituents.

the Bishop of Ninawa and Duhok, for his part thanked the Kurdistan Regional Government , for its efforts in spreading the spirit of tolerance and forgiveness among the Iraqis.
