Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari received on 9/10/2011 Martin Kobler, the new Head of the UN Assistance Mission for Humanitarian in Iraq (UNAMI) in Iraq, and congratulated him for the new position and wished him success.

During the meeting ,the two sides discussed, various activities of UNAMI's mission in the framework of its mandate and the advice it provides according to a request from the Iraqi government in addition to its role in helping Iraq to end all the outstanding issues in the Security Council.

The Minister stressed on continuing contacts and consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UNAMI mission to achieve that.

He stressed the ministry's readiness to provide facilities and support for the success of his mission.
