Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani met with Austrian President Heinz Fischer in Vienna today to discuss bilateral relations and mutual cooperation.

In today’s meeting, President Barzani and President Fischer exchanged views on the current political situation in Iraq and in the Kurdistan Region, and the recent political developments in the wider region.

The two also discussed measures to further strengthen relations and increase cooperation between Austria and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
