In an exclusive interview to Warvin, (Bakhtyar Saeed), head of media department at directorate of art in Slemani, stated that on International Women’s Day, their directorate opens an art exhibition for 20 women artists in Slemani and Ranya.

“At the exhibition, each artist will participate with one of her works, and the reason behind opening this exhibition is respecting the women in the country on this special day. At the exhibition, the artists visualize their viewpoints in life and their future via with drawing, sculpturing and ceramic art” He added.

The exhibition will be opened on March 8, 2013 3:00 PM at Andesha cultural center (Mawlawi Street) and will last for three days.

Directorate of art in Slemani has opened solo and collective exhibitions for many women artists; the last activity was opening an exhibition for Asma Monivar who came from Northern Kurdistan, 34 portrait posters were shown at the exhibition, they were talking about the stages of the artist’s life.

Meanwhile, the (Graphic girls) group is planning to open an exhibition, (Xoshi Shawqi) the director of the group told Warvin “we will open an exhibition in Slemani under the title (freedom of me as a woman, is the freedom of humanity)”.

She also said that the exhibition is an artistic show and 6 members of the group will participate in it.

The activity will start at 3:00 PM, March 8, 2013 in front of Public park of Slemani.

(Graphic girls) group was founded lately, Artist (Xoshi Shawqi) is supervising the group and the members are (Azhin Qasim, Tazhan Akram, Razhwan Wizhdan, Avesta Ayar, Hazhan Salam and Renas Jalal).
