President Nechirvan Barzani Meets Italian Ambassador to Discuss Regional Relations and Security
President Nechirvan Barzani received Mr. Niccolò Fontana, the Italian Ambassador to Iraq. The meeting focused on relations between Italy, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region and the latest political and security developments in the region.
Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening ties and expanding cooperation across various sectors. Regarding forming the Kurdistan Region’s upcoming government cabinet, President Nechirvan Barzani affirmed that efforts are ongoing to advance the process.
The meeting, which included the Italian Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, addressed the circumstances in Syria, ongoing peace initiatives in Turkey, and other regional issues.
