Erbil, Kurdistan Region – President Masoud Barzani, leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), welcomed Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, to his headquarters in Erbil on Thursday. The meeting focused on strengthening trilateral ties between the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and Turkey, alongside discussions on regional developments.

Key topics included the political process in the Kurdistan Region, particularly post-election developments and the formation of the new Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). Both leaders highlighted the importance of bolstering cooperation between the KRG and the Iraqi federal government while also fostering closer ties with Turkey.

Discussions extended to recent events in Iraq and neighboring countries, with Barzani and Inan stressing the importance of sustained collaboration to address mutual interests and ensure regional stability.
