Erbil, Kurdistan Region — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with Italian Consul General Michele Camerota on Saturday to explore ways to enhance bilateral relations between Erbil and Rome.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani expressed gratitude to Consul General Camerota for his efforts in fostering relations between the Kurdistan Region and Italy. He also wished the Italian diplomat success in his future endeavors, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office.

Consul General Camerota, in turn, commended the cooperation and coordination provided by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and reaffirmed Italy’s commitment to strengthening ties with the Kurdistan Region.

The discussions highlight the mutual interest in deepening collaboration across various sectors, signaling the continuation of a strong partnership between the two sides.
