Kurdistan Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Commends UAE Consul General for Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with UAE Consul General Ahmad Ibrahim Al Dhaheri on Sunday in Erbil, expressing appreciation for Al Dhaheri’s role in strengthening ties between the Kurdistan Region and the United Arab Emirates. The meeting marks the conclusion of Al Dhaheri’s diplomatic tenure in the region.
During the meeting, both leaders highlighted the robust and strategic partnership between Kurdistan and the UAE. Prime Minister Barzani publicly recognized Al Dhaheri’s significant contributions to fostering Kurdistan-UAE relations, stating, “We discussed the close relationship between the Kurdistan Region and the UAE, and we expressed our gratitude to the Consul for his role in strengthening bilateral relations throughout his tenure.”
The UAE Consul General reciprocated by underscoring the depth of cooperation and shared goals between the two regions. Describing the relationship as “strategic,” Al Dhaheri reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to enhancing collaboration across various sectors, reflecting the UAE’s interest in deepening coordination and building on the established foundation of trust and partnership.
